South Korea Produces Extremely Inconsistent First-Pitch Throwers

Back in May, a member of the South Korean pop group “Girls’ Generation,” Tiffany Hwang, threw what might go down as the worst first pitch thrown in the history of first pitches being thrown—and that history includes the likes of Denard Robinson and my little sister (yes, seriously).

Throwing from roughly a few steps in front of the mound to a catcher about  55 feet away, Hwang missed the outside corner by about 30 feet, and was completely embarrassed by her performance.

She and every other first-pitch thrower from South Korea has been redeemed though, thanks to possibly the most incredible first pitch ever thrown. Before a game between the Doosan Bears and Samsung Lions in South Korea, rhythmic gymnast Shin Soo-ji pulled off quite the incredible stunt. How she did it, and how it’s physically possible are questions that remain unanswered.

As crazy as that is, we all know it’s the terrible throws that are more fun to watch.
