Phillies left fielder Domonic Brown is absolutely scorching hot right now with 10 dingers in his last 12 games and he leads the National League in total home runs (18), at-bats per home run (11.94), and plate appearances per home run (12.67); overall, he’s second only to Chris Davis in all of those categories. He also leads the majors with 5 home runs since Sunday—and that’s with statistics through Wednesday, the fourth day of the week—and has been named NL Player of the Week the past two weeks and NL Player of the Month for May.
This, Philadelphia, is what the hell we’ve been waiting for out of our Triple-A stud.
Brown’s in some sort of zone right now and needn’t change a thing about how he approaches his at bats from his mechanics down to his walk-up music. Though, if he were to consider moving away from Meek Mill’s “House Party,” I’d like to offer him this viable candidate courtesy of Casey Conklin and 94 WIP in Philly:
If anyone needs me today, I’ll be busy blasting this on repeat, not caring about much of anything other than Brown’s luscious swing and incredible bat flip.
